Movie Story : In late nineteenth-century Canton, the legendary martial artist Wong Fei-Hung confronts the foreign powers, including the English, French, and Americans, who are plundering China. When his aunt Yee returns from America fully westernised, Wong takes on the duty of looking after her and the family. Protecting them becomes harder as his martial arts school and local militia are drawn into bitter clashes with both foreign and local authorities. As the fighting grows more violent, Aunt Yee begins to doubt her newfound western ideals, and the film asks whether Kung Fu can really stand up against guns.
