Movie Story : In 1970s Kunchon, a coastal village in Korea, women divers who can hold their breath and gather seafood without any equipment make their living from the sea. Best friends Choon-ja and Jin-sook, along with Jin-sook's brother Hammer, work the waters together. When new factories stop appearing near the beach, the divers struggle to earn enough, and the local ship crews turn to smuggling beneath the waves to survive. As the illicit trade grows beyond what Jin-sook's family can control, the once-peaceful village begins to fall apart.
