Movie Story : Alexander, a young actor, sinks for months into self-destruction fueled by alcohol and drugs, until dealers stab him and he nearly dies. Seeking a way out, he writes a semi-autobiographical screenplay also called Spiral, in which he plans to play the lead, Daniel. When admired director Olivier Rainer agrees to make the film, he puts Alexander through screen tests and rewrites the script using details from the actor's own life. Determined to confront his demons, Alexander follows Olivier unconditionally into a turbulent journey where reality and fiction blur.
