Movie Story : The Silent Twins follows June and Jennifer Gibbons, identical twins who are the only Black family in a small Welsh town during the 1970s and 1980s. Feeling cut off from their community, the sisters withdraw into themselves and refuse to speak to anyone outside of each other, building a private world of imagination and youthful longing. After a series of acts of vandalism lands them in trouble, they are sent to Broadmoor, a notorious psychiatric institution, where they must decide whether to part ways in order to survive or stay together and face the consequences as one.
